Tea Ceremony
As we lay on the ground
Breathing flower scented air,
And the grey rain clouds
Threw a blanket on our cares.
Well my soul poured out
Into the tiger of your eyes,
And I could have died
When you looked at me and smiled.
How did you get here girl
Across a sea of pain,
My life was a desert babe
And you brought the rains.
Now the wind blows hard
And nothing will remain,
And this vision in my heart,
Can't save a world insane.
And yet, as long as love
Grows a flower in your breast,
And the river sings sweet
And the living draw their breath.
If the swallow soars high
And the cuckoo sounds the wood,
If the bees kiss the blossom
And the petals burst the bud.
And if the sun rides up
Over green velvet clay,
I'll fight another day
And I'll carry on my way.
I love you woman,
As the hearth of the sun
Warms the spring green leaves.
And whatever may come
Love will not be undone.
