ABOUT THE CLEARING

The Clearing evolved out of a symbiotic relationship between poet, artist and woodsman Timothy John Sanderson and the Clay Pit Woods.
After years spent living and working in these woods, Tim felt the need to create a space that would enable others to share in the creative healing power
and profound beauty of the place.

"I imagine a gathering place in the heart of the woods dedicated to self discovery, healing, creativity and inspiration, made and sustained with loving labour. A place that would subliminaly hold, nurture and encourage a deeper connection between individuals and themselves, each other and the greater environment of which we are all an indivisable part. A place to meet and learn with great teachers and uncover the wisdoms that lie dormant within each of us."
